Nursery Volunteers!

At least one parent of each regularly attending child is expected to take a turn in the nursery once every 8 weeks. Nursery volunteers can volunteer no more than once every other Sunday and have agreed to a background check as it pertains to the safety of children. There is always at least one adult volunteer AND one volunteer over age 16 in each room at all times. We also have junior volunteers (ages 10-15) that assists when needed. Babies under six months old are held only by those volunteers over 16 years of age. We keep a ratio of no more than 2-4 children (depending on ages of children) per volunteer . All volunteers have a copy of the handbook of policy and procedure and take a competency exam before volunteering.
